The primary purpose of this website is to provide accurate resources for those to wish examine Islamic beliefs from the viewpoint of traditional Sunni Islamic orthodoxy - that is, from the viewpoint of the classical scholars and the four legal schools (maḏāhib), with a special emphasis on the Ḥanafī maḏhab and the Ashʿarī/Maturidi schools of doctrine. Yet it is important not to limit orthodoxy to these groups - as al-Safarini aptly said:
أَهْلُ السُّنَّةِ وَالْجَمَاعَةِ ثَلَاثُ فِرَقٍ الْأَثَرِيَّةُ وَإِمَامُهُمْ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ وَالْأَشْعَرِيَّةُ وَإِمَامُهُمْ أَبُو الْحَسَنِ الْأَشْعَرِيُّ رَحِمَهُ اللَّهُ وَالْمَاتُرِيدِيَّةُ وَإِمَامُهُمْ أَبُو مَنْصُورٍ الْمَاتُرِيدِيُّ

‘Ahl al-sunnah wa’l-jama‘ah [the saved sect] is three groups: Atharis, whose leader is Aḥmad b. Ḥanbal, may Allāh be pleased with him; Ash‘aris, whose leader is Abū al-Ḥasan al-Ashʿarī, may Allāh have mercy on him; and Māturīdis, whose leader is Abū Manṣūr al-Māturīdī.’I created this website around the 22nd of May in 2018 CE amid a rising tide of anti-Islamic vitriol coupled with alarming levels of apostasy, extremism and modernism within the Muslim community. It is evident that the quality of Islamic knowledge has significantly declined within the Ummah, whilst religious discourse increasingly is steered by either ignoramuses or malicious individuals who seek to purposefully taint or twist the religion; moulding it to suit their own desires.
It is thus that I pray that this website should prove beneficial for whoever manages to stumble upon it. I have ensured all content on this website is sourced from scholars or academics in order to prevent conveying inaccurate information - very little, if any of the work on this website is my own and I have attempted to make this clear when I can. If there are any mistakes, please forgive both myself and the author - we are imperfect, at the end of the day.
O Allāh, forgive me and my family of my shortcomings and purify our souls. Our Lord, give us good in this world and in the Hereafter, and protect us from the torment of the Fire.
